A NEW network is being formed to support South Holland’s trustees from charities, community groups and non-profit making organisations.
Called The Trustee Network, the group will have its first breakfast meeting at 7.30am in Sage Restaurant, at Red Lion Quarter, Spalding, on Tuesday, September 11.
The network has sprung from a partnership between voluntary sector experts Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service and accountants Moore Thompson.
Organisers are inviting trustees from all local groups to attend.
Ken Maggs, from Moore Thompson, said: “Trustees often fall into the role after volunteering to help a worthwhile cause. They frequently do not realise the inherent responsibilities that come along with being a trustee.
“The role of the network is to enable trustees to assist one another and take advantage of the vast experience of local volunteers.
“It is not our intention to frighten people, but rather to give them an opportunity to raise concerns and gain valuable assistance, enabling them to benefit the area as a whole.”
