BOSSES at Tesco in Holbeach marked the store’s new look yesterday morning by dishing out £1,500 to good causes.

The store donated £500 each to Holbeach and Fenland Gymnastics Club, the St Barnabas Hospice and cerebral palsy sufferer Alice Bates – who readers of this paper helped to buy a new wheelchair earlier this year.

The Boston Road supermarket has undergone a major revamp over the last few weeks, including a whole new store layout, new fresh produce selection and brand new meat and fish counters. The three local causes picked up their cash from Holbeach store manager Alan McGeachie as he marked the end of the revamp yesterday morning.
