Unique Knitters, natter with other knitters, compare patterns, drink tea and knit or crochet with creative group, Unique Cottage Studios, Fulney Lane South, Spalding. All ages welcome. Admission £5, 10am to 1pm.

Saturday, July 6

Deeping Lions Annual Carnival with funfair, craft stalls, beer and wine tent, car boot sale, display by local dog training group, live music on stage plus battle re-enactment group with displays of archery, sword fighting and gunnery, The John Eve Field, Godsey Lane, Market Deeping. Admission free, 10am to 5pm.

Sunday, July 7

Open garden for NGS charities, The Hawthorns, Donington, traditional garden with extensive herbaceous borders, pond and rare breed animals. Admission £3.50, children free, 11am to 4pm.

Sunday, July 7

Thurlby 10k road race and fun run with medals for all entrants plus prizes, barbecue and refreshments, Lawrance Park, Thurlby. Entry 10k £8/£10; fun run £5, entry form from www.thurlbyrun.btck.co.uk or register on the day. Fun run 10.15am; 10k 11am.
