Michael Britchford (above) was one of the lucky customers who tracked down one of the sound tracks of his life – in vinyl – in Spalding at the weekend.
In fact, Michael bagged a haul of 30 7in vinyl singles at the Sue Ryder Books & Music two-day sale. Charity shop manager Paul Bedford said an anonymous donor had given the shop access to 2,500 singles from his enormous collection of music from the 1950s through to the ’80s and early ’90s to raise money for the Thorpe Hall appeal. The shop sold 540 records at £1 each over the sale, eventually extended to a third day because of its popularity. Photo: SG280215-101TW
