QUADRING Primary School is one of ten schools in the county to be awarded the new Primary Science Quality Mark.
The Association of Science Education award aims to develop and celebrate the quality of science teaching and learning.
School science coordinator Anneka Luffman said awards are made in three categories, bronze, silver and gold, and her school applied for and gained the silver category.
She said: “We will probably be looking to do the gold in the future.”
The school was tested on things such as the quality of teaching and pupils’ enjoyment of learning.
