Pupils from south Lincolnshire did themselves and their schools proud in an inter-school sporting competition.
Boston College’s The Games Grand Final, in its ninth year, saw students from 16 secondary schools across the area taking part in a variety of sporting and skill-based activities, including chest presses, speed tests and speed races.
The overall team award went to Boston High School, with Donington’s Thomas Cowley taking second place.
Head of PE Mrs Westwell said of the team: “They competed in gruelling, individual and team activities all day and were amazing. They are so excited and proud.”
Bourne Academy’s Charlie Farrar and Gemma Fitzjohn took first and second place in the girls’ category, with Sir John Gleed’s Sophie Crowson taking third.
Bourne Academy’s Tom Benton took first place in the boys’ individual category.
The secondary school pupils have be encouraged every step of the way by Boston United players Nathan Stainfield and Tom Ward, who are pictured in the back row with winners Tom Benton, Kane Wright and Joshua Leggate.
