Around 4,000 visitors helped make this year’s Springfields Bike Show one of the most successful for years.

Star attractions at the event, which prides itself on offering something for everyone with an interest in bikes – be it new, classic or road racing – included TT star John Mcguiness and TV’s Salvage Squad’s Jerry Thurston.

Organiser Jason Lunn said: “Sunday was our best day for three years and it was a really excellent weekend.

“John McGuiness has won the most TTs ever so everyone wanted to meet him andJerry Thurston did a live restoration of a 1926 Norton 18/19 Brooklands, which was very popular.

“We also had lots of clubs and trade and whatever your interest in bikes there’s something at the show you’ll like.

“The show really kicks off the season and is a fantastic reflection of motorcycling in the region.”

Plans are already under way for next year’s show on January 25 and 26, 2014.
