The Gap store at Springfields in Spalding is usually known for selling fashion clothing but on a recent Saturday it was accepting other people’s cast-offs.

The store acted as a donation station for the town’s Cancer Research shop, members of staff also taking £158 in donations at the door.

Cancer Research shop manager Sasha Darley said: “We got some amazing stock, it was fantastic. It’s the first one we have done with Gap and the first one at Springfields, but we’ll definitely do it again. It generated a lot more stock.”
