Elderly people living at St John’s Care Home in Spalding were able to share their own memories of being a teenage with young people recently.
The residents spent the day with young people from schools in South Holland who are taking part in the National Citizen Service programme, which allows students to support the local community and helps them gain confidence in various environments.
Home manager Anna Lewkowicz said the teenagers spent the day at the care home talking to residents, playing games and taking part in activities.
She said: “The residents, many of whom live with dementia, were able to reminisce about their teenage years and enjoyed being entertained with music and games. I would like to thank the students for their input.”
