One of Spalding’s oldest residents Violet Davis-Evans (107) was made to feel like a VIP with a special gift from Elizabeth Arden and a visit from her local MP last week.

Violet worked for Elizabeth Arden in the 1930s and in recognition of her recent birthday the company sent her a luxury gift box filled with creams and perfumes.

After reading about her birthday in the Guardian, making a special trip to meet her were MP John Hayes and Harry Drury, Conservative Party district council candidate for Spalding St. Mary’s.
