  • Christmas Foodbank Appeal boosted by staff from accounting, legal and property firms

Young solicitors, accountants and estate agents in South Holland have put others before themselves to help this year’s Christmas Foodbank Appeal.

Spalding Young Professionals, a networking group made up of accounting, legal and property staff from firms based in Spalding, Pinchbeck, Holbeach, Bourne and Market Deeping, donated boxes of food and festive items to people facing a dark Christmas this year.

We want to do a little bit for others and we thought a physical donation to a charity in Spalding, which people in Spalding will benefit from, was something we could be involved in.

The donations were presented to grateful volunteers at Agapecare Foodbank, Spalding, on Thursday with the news that staff and clients of each business from across Lincolnshire had taken part.

A Spalding Young Professionals spokesman said: “The group is about developing relationships for the benefit of our individual businesses and to help our clients.

“We also want to do a little bit for others and we thought a physical donation to a charity in Spalding, which people in Spalding will benefit from, was something we could be involved in.

“It’s humbling to know how we are helping families who may not have as much as us.”
