Prison officers Mark Le Sage (left) and Bryce (Dusty) Miller were presented with a cheque for £100 by Spalding’s Gleed Girls’ Technology College pupil Charlie Ridley in 2002.

The money was for the Rightside Trust and followed voluntary talks on crime and its consequences by the prison service.

The two officers had given talks in their own time to the Year 9 students.

The trust had been formed to stop the increase in juvenile delinquency by spreading the message about the realities of prison life.
