This biggest event in South Holland’s calendar takes place on Friday – Spalding Pumpkin Festival (11am to 8pm).

Entertainment for all ages is planned throughout the day, including Balloonatic, the balloon-art street duo who will be creating inflated wonders for passers-by, pumpkin carving in the Sheep Market and craft workshops by Creation Station and Transported Arts.

The stage entertainment starts at 5pm, with the fancy dress competition at 5.30pm.

In the evening, there is live entertainment from a variety of local performers, a Festival Market, charity stalls, and of course the parade headed by the pumpkin coach (6.30pm at Sheep Market/Crescent) followed by a spectacular firework finale (7.30pm).
