Spalding print firm MD retires for gardening, golf, grandchildren and ‘gollydays!’

Departing Welland Print managing director told Richard Riley told colleages he will be enjoying the four Gs now he has retired – gardening, golf, grandchildren and ‘gollydays’!

Richard retired on his 65th birthday after 49 years and 11 days at the West Marsh Road printing and mailing company.

He joined the firm when it was called Geestprint and then bought the company with finance director Mike Trebbick in 2001.

He was joined by staff, family and customers at a buffet reception at the Woodlands Hotel in Spalding.

The company presented him with a ‘Powakaddy’ electric golf trolley and staff bought him and wife Pat a two-day luxury hotel escape with dinner. Richard also received a letter of congratulations fromSouth Holland and the Deepings MP John Hayes and Pat was presented with flowers.
