St Nicolas Players is putting on Behind Closed Doors at South Holland Centre in Spalding from Wednesday (7.30pm).

Set in 1969, the play explores the sensitive subject of domestic violence inside marriage.

Mother and daughter team Alison and Sophie Honeybun and producing and directing this difficult, hard-hitting drama by playwright Janet Shaw.

The engagement of two students brings together two families, and Behind Closed Doors explores their different social attitudes.

The play is described as “black comedy”, with lots of comedic moments and one liners to break the tension.

It is being performed from Wednesday to Saturday.

Tickets are £9.50 and £8.50 concessions.
