The Friends of Johnson Community Hospital are putting on a 60th anniversary summer fayre this Saturday (2-4pm).
The event at the hospital in Pinchbeck Road, Spalding, will continue the Friends’ work of raising money to buy vital equipment as well as items to make the lives of patients and staff easier.
Visitors can expect a selection of games, crafts, plants and cake stalls, all manned by local organisations, as well as music from Spalding Town Band.
League chairman Angela Newton hopes the fayre will be well supported because it is a 60th celebration – and they have just committed to buying two pieces of equipment for the eye clinic that will cost nearly £6,000 – saving people from travelling to Boston.
The hospital tea shop will stay open longer to cater for summer fayre visitors.
