The Mannequin Challenge has seen Spalding Ford dearlership TC Harrison contributing their own epic to the viral video craze.
Staff at the Elsoms Way site at Pinchbeck followed the formula – with staff being videoed “frozen in action” while working in the showroom, workshop and offices.
Aftersales manager Dale Hunt said: “There’s no real purpose to it other than it’s topical right now and a bit of fun.
“Our Burton dealership were the first in the group to create a video, which went viral very quickly. Off the back of that they challenged all the other dealers within our group to see if they could rise to the challenge.
“We quickly responded here at Spalding. My service advisor Rachael Fisher and I got all the team on board, including a few of our sales team, our valters and even our in-house maintenance guys.”
Dale said the planning took a couple of hours.
He said: “We had several challenges, the main one being as we are a fairly small site we do not have a huge number of staff. So we decided to attempt several ‘switch-ups’ where five members of staff were actually utilised in the video twice.
“The video was filmed in one take by two different individuals who were both also in the video – so there was a bit of thinking, planning and timing involved to get the final take without seeing any movement.”
As the Spalding dealership is the best in its group for Ford Customer View Point scores, there was only one choice of music to accompany the video – the theme to The A-Team television series.
As well as Dale and Rachael, staff taking part were Steve Emery, Ian Maguire, Steve Jinks, Mark Green, James Gray Jason Bright, Alan Holman, Jim Jinks and Robert Owczarek.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue’s Binbrook crews created a Mannequin Challenge to encourage recruitment.
