Children at Tydd St Mary Primary School joined nationwide celebrations for the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.

The school held a Shakespeare Day to mark his contribution to English Literature.

The day ended in youngsters performing A Midsummer Night’s Dream in a day.

The Deepings Community Library also paid tribute, hosting a celebration of Shakespeare for young people on the special anniversary of the playwright’s death.

An enthusiastic group of children and their helpers joined presenter Lorraine Watkins for a morning of activities, puppets, stories and fun centred around Shakespeare’s dramas.
