Tulip Radio is looking for local talent to perform at this year’s Tulipmania event at Springfields Events Centre in Spalding on Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3, writes Jan Whitbourn.

Some acts are already lined up, including a return of the hugely inspirational Watoto Children’s School Choir who wowed audiences last year. For those who missed this unique performance, it’s well worth attending for the spectacle and the atmosphere generated by this hugely talented group of orphans from central Africa. They manage to bring with them the feel and the sound of Africa.

Talented local singers and dancers who would like the opportunity of performing on stage on the Saturday are asked to get in touch. Jan Whitbourn says the organisers are able to accommodate most genres of entertainment and look forward to receiving contact details of anyone who’d like to perform.

Springfields and Tulip Radio are also running the Tulipmania Prince and Princess competition this year. This was a huge success last time, with the winners appearing at several other local events, such as Pinchbeck Carnival and the Pumpkin Parade.

Sunday’s timetable is filling up already with over 200 classic cars booked to come to the ever popular Classic Car Show.
