South Holland got well and truly into the Christmas spirit

People all across South Holland were getting into the festive spirit in the lead up to and during the Christmas period.

From festive fairs and fundraising events to carol singing and Christmas dinners, there were all kinds of events happening across the district.

l Gosberton Baptist Church looked beautiful for its Carols by Candlelight service.

People packed the church for the wonderful occasion.

l Children and staff tucked into a delicious Christmas dinner at Holbeach Primary School.

l The Johnson Community Hospital held an indoor Christmas shopping night with various stalls raising money for the hospital.

Darryl Simpson, managing director of Hills department store went along to present a cheque for £900 raised by a fashion show at the store for the hospital’s planned nature garden.

l Holbeach’s Friday Club had a welcome boost to it funds when Graham Scorthorn, of the Rotary Club of Holbeach, went along to its Christmas lunch to present a cheque for £300.

l Pinchbeck Baptist Church looked wonderful thanks to its fantastic Christmas Tree Festival.
