St Mary’s Church at Long Sutton and All Saints’ Church at Moulton are among Lincolnshire churches featured in a new book.

To be published soon by Thames and Hudson, the book written by Julian Flannery is called Fifty English Steeples and subtitled The Finest Medieval Parish Church Towers and Spires in England.

It will be priced at £50.

Long Sutton vicar Father Jonathan Sibley, who has met the author, says his church is ranked 10th and it’s a timely mention as St Mary’s is already preparing for its 850th anniversary in three years’ time.

Among other Lincolnshire churches mentioned are Boston Stump and St James’ Church, Louth.
