Solicitors help to raise £2million in a month

Calthrops Solicitors from Spalding and Holbeach, and their clients, have helped to raise £2millon for charity.

The firm took part in Will Aid month, which helps to raise money for nine different charities, including Age UK, NSPCC and Save the Children.

Calthrops joined firms across the UK and waived their fee for making a basic will, instead, encouraging clients to donate to Will Aid.

Shirley Marsland, Will Aid campaign manager, said: “Will Aid has made such a real and positive difference to those in need of a hand up over the past 25 years.

“I would like to thank all of the generous and enthusiastic solicitors and will-makers in this area who took part.”

The combined total raised by both of Calthrops’ offices was over £5000.

Craig Delany from the firm said: “This was our second year of doing the Will Aid month and it went really well.

“Our aim was to get as many people as possible to donate, as we think it’s really important to give something back.”
