GAMING REVIEW: SNIPER ELITE 3 (XONE/PS4/X360/PS3)
Out of the two uniquely Sniper-based franchises on the market – Elite continues to hit the spot compared to the Ghost Warrior alternative.
Using the exotically deadly terrain of North Africa during the backdrop of World War II, Sniper Elite 3 competently expands on solid foundations laid down in previous versions of the fan-favourite series.
As American operative Karl Fairburne, taking out the Nazis with pin-point sharp-shooting accuracy – with infamous Killcam back and better than ever – has never been more satisfying, and with non-linear missions, you can do it the way you want to.
A very linear story sadly doesn’t do the more open world feel justice though, and that coupled with hap-hazard enemy intelligence, prevents this from greatness.
But there’s so much to enjoy, this is undoubtedly one of the shooters of the year.
Who wouldn’t enjoy being a virtual sniper?
