It will be sleepless in Spalding for four men staying awake to raise cash for two charities in the Consti 24-hour triathlon.
Spalding Constitutional Club steward Dick Morgan (54) will be joined by Mark Elsey, Martin Hardstaff and Ivan Williamson for eight hours of darts, eight hours of snooker and eight hours of bowls.
The challenge starts at 4pm on Saturday, June 11 and the fantastic four hope to make it a big pay day for their charities, the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance and the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Dick said: “Everyone can get involved by challenging us to a game of darts, snooker or bowls or simply just sponsor us for the whole 24 hours.”
A traditional tri is far more energetic with cycling, swimming and running involved, but those events don’t last 24 hours and the fundraisers think it will be a big enough challenge just staying awake and on their feet for that length of time.
But the pals do have a plan for keeping up their energy levels.

“We will be drinking lots of tea and eating lots of kebabs during the night,” said Dick.
The fundraisers are especially keen for challengers to turn up to fill slots in the wee small hours of the morning and supporters to cheer them on.
It costs just £2.50 for each match – darts will be best of five legs, snooker best of three legs and bowls matches will consist of eight ends.
The club in Broad Street is home to many of Spalding’s snooker, darts and bowls teams.
Sponsors so far are Gist and Majestic Bingo.
