MORE than 120 people waved flags and sang along at Holbeach Rotary Club’s Last Night of The Proms at the community centre.

Swineshead Silver Band performed the concert and an enthusiastic audience dressed in red, white and blue – and waved union flags.

Proceeds from the night will support Rotary projects including an all-weather surface for young people using the goal force area in Carter’s Park, electrical work on the brownies headquarters and planting of purple crocuses in Carter’s Park.

The flower symbolises ongoing work to eradicate polio.

Rotarian Wendy Chew said: “This is the third time we have held this event and this year was better than ever.”

She thanked the band and all who supported the event.
