Signs to mark Spalding in Bloom’s double gold successes may go up around town.

Coun Jack McLean made the suggestion that signs are put up “at the gateway sites” so visitors know Spalding won East Midlands in Bloom gold awards in 2014 and 2015.

Spalding Town Forum agreed at its meeting on Thursday to look into the idea.

Spalding In Bloom chairman Angela Newton said: “We used to do that every year.”

Forum chairman Coun George Aley said: “You could have a little message on the bottom that says ‘lets all get together to make Spalding a much tidier and nicer place’.”
