THERE’S still time for women to sign up for a moonlight charity stroll.
The annual Moonlight Walk in aid of St Barnabas Hospice will take place at Spalding’s Springfields Exhibition Centre from 9pm on Saturday when hundreds of women will follow a six-mile route.
Participants get a T-shirt and a bacon sandwich for their efforts and can dress up, with items such as pink hats for sale on the night.
The ladies-only event raises funds for the care of more than 4,000 people a year suffering from life-threatening illnesses, and their families.
Fundraising manager Kim Frow said: “The Moonlight Walk is a major part of St Barnabas’ fundraising year so its success has a direct impact on what we can do for local people.
“Our supporters’ time and effort in taking part makes a direct impact on what we can offer the county but it is also a chance for them to have a really good night out.”
