SOUTH Holland’s rich architecture and culture has been celebrated as part of a series of Heritage Open Days.

The doors to local churches have been opened, while other organisations and museums have welcomed in visitors to explore their wares.

The theme was Victorian Lincolnshire, and the district didn’t disappoint, with everything from lace, old photographs and farm machinery on show.

The events were part of more than 120 arranged across the county from Thursday to Sunday and were co-ordinated by English Heritage.
