Staff at a Spalding charity shop couldn’t pass up the opportunity to dress their window in honour of the birth of the royal baby.

Heather Rudd, who works at the St Barnabas Hospice shop in New Road, said manager Lisa Thomas took the decision to gather together some stock and display items after noticing that no other shops had dressed their windows to mark the big event.

A crib, complete with baby doll representing Prince George, took pride of place, alongside a blue and white spotty dress similar to one Kate wore.

Mrs Rudd said: “We had some baby items in stock and this is just our way of celebrating the birth of the royal baby.”
