JOHNNY Ball may be feigning bewilderment but his lecture at the Science Society at Spalding Grammar School got a great reaction.

Head of physics at the school and organiser of the Science Society Kate Elliott said Johnny gave a “fabulous lecture”, the first part of which was devoted to mathematics and involved various members of the 90-strong audience made up of pupils and community members. He then spoke about global warming and his belief that it was not a man-made phenomenon.

The next meeting will be on April 26 when James Soper will discuss the science of the circus.
