Hundreds of people are expected to head for Donington for the start of the village’s Christmas festivities.
The annual fair on Sunday is once again turning the Thomas Cowley High School into a winter wonderland, with Santa welcoming children in the grotto.
Organisers are Donington In Bloom and Eileen Pearce is especially excited about this year’s event.
She said: “This year we have a snowboarding simulator and rodeo reindeer as well lots of other attractions such as archery, owls, musical entertainment, more than 40 stalls and lots of hot food.
“There’s so much happening families could easily spend all day there.”
The fair is being held from 10am to 4pm.
