YOUNG musicians had a taste of life as a rock star at a summer school.

The Rock School saw more than a dozen youngsters formed into three bands to learn three or four tracks to perform to friends and family.

The three sessions at Spalding’s South Holland Centre were led by professionals from SoundLincs, who brought along a selection of instruments and helped the 12 to 16 years old learn about playing together as a group.

Sally Harrison, of the South Holland Centre, said: “These sessions are always very popular and they always give those who take part an insight into what it’s like working together in a band rather than playing music as an individual.”
