Improvements to the A17 at Gedney will be part of a £5.4million Lincolnshire County Council highways programme.
In January, the council was allocated the cash from the Government as part of a fund designed to help reduce congestion at key locations, upgrade or improve the maintenance of local highway assets, to improve access to employment and Improvements on the stretch of the A17 through Gedney will results in increased overtaking opportunities to reduce journey times.
There will also be improvements to the Boston Road roundabout in Holbeach to reduce congestion and improve journey times.
Improvements will also be made to the transport infrastructure, including an extension of the system providing real-time information on bus services, and maintenance of existing bus shelters
All the improvements are set to take place over the 2017/18 financial year. ·
