A trail of scarecrows led to Fun in the Park at Donington.

The tour of the town at the weekend was run by Margaret and Doug Kenworthy from the Ruby Hunt Centre.

Once in Flinders Park, there was plenty to entertain the visitors, including stalls and games.

Holbeach Town Brass Band provided a musical setting and a Dakota C3 made a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight across the park.

Fun in the Park is an annual event held by a group intent on Improving Donington’s Environment For All.

Member Peter Lorimer said: “It was a really good event. The weather was baking which was perfect for getting people into the park and to encourage them to use it.
