IT’S every musician’s dream to go on tour with one of the biggest names in music and Spalding man Brian Stout is about to live it.
The double bass player from Kellett Gate and his band, the Sonny Society Jazz Band, are currently getting ready to tour the UK with Rod Stewart.
The tour covers five gigs, kicking off at Newbury Racecourse on May 29 with visits to football grounds in Swansea, Leeds and Aberdeen, and the finale in Norwich on June 8.
Brian has been playing the double bass all his life and has run the band for 35 years, also playing the piano.
He got the opportunity to play on the tour through his agent.
Brian has never played on a tour with such a highly acclaimed artist before.
He said: “I’m so excited. I’ve played on some pretty big jobs in my time, but this is colossal.”
