MORE than 200 members and guests of Spalding Rugby Club had a ball at the town’s South Holland Centre on Saturday.

There was a drinks reception, a meal and dancing to live music from Vision and the Steve Allen disco.

An auction was one of the highlights of the night with fast and furious bidding for the star lot, an England shirt signed by Will Greenwood and Austin Healey, which went for £295.

All money raised from the event will be invested in the club.

Ball organiser Rachelle Chew said: “It was a fantastic atmosphere and everybody was up for a really good time.”
