Families are invited to celebrate the Queen’s birthday by enjoying a picnic and Royal-themed fun and games at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens.
The historic Spalding venue is hosting a special event on Saturday, June 11 from 11am-2pm to tie in with celebrations taking place across the UK.
Families are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy in Ayscoughfee Gardens and take part in Royal-themed arts and crafts, face painting and garden games.
There will also be Royal commemoratives on display, all from the Ayscoughfee Hall collection.
Coun Gary Taylor, South Holland District Council’s portfolio holder for community, said: “This promises to be a fantastic occasion which people of all ages will be able to enjoy.
“We recently held a civic beacon-lighting event at Ayscoughfee to mark Her Majesty’s 90th birthday in April.
“We now look forward to double the celebration for the Queen’s official birthday on June 11 and invite residents to join in the fun.”
Organisers are also keen to hear your stories of Royal celebrations in South Holland from years gone by.
