PUPILS at Bicker Preparatory School dressed as kings and queens – and royal wedding guests – in their own tribute to the wedding of Wills and Kate.

Head of upper school Wendy Bell said: “The guests included David Beckham, Henry VIII and King George.

“We also had soldiers and knights to guard the kings and queens.”

Pupils also raised around £900 to help buy new equipment as the school develops its modern languages resources from nursery through to year six.

Younger pupils walked around the school gardens and the Upper School’s “walk” was an obstacle course planned by year six pupils on Bicker Playing Field. Some completed more than 20 laps, jumping hurdles and climbing through hoops.
