DON’T miss the chance of going to a real traditional circus now it’s in town, in a bigtop next to the Anglia Motel on the A17 at Fleet.

You may even find yourself joining up for a taste of circus life, as its owner suggests on his Facebook page.

Mr Fips Wonder Circus, launched last year by Mr Fips (aka Jan Brenner) after a lifetime performing as a clown worldwide, set up camp at Fleet this week and is giving early evening shows every day up to and including Sunday.

Jan said: “This is our first season and our first-ever tour. I’ve worked in top circuses all over the world for 36 years and last year I decided it was now or never and started my own, which is my interpretation of what a real circus should be like.

“I’ve assembled the most sensational artistes, all of whom I’ve met during my career.

“It’s also a family affair. Myself and my 73-year-old dad, Charlie the Clown, do some great slapstick routines together, as seen on CBBs The Slammer.

“And my wife Carolyn brings her beautiful Andalusian stallions into the ring – they do a marvellous dressage display to music.”

Also appearing will be the Mei Li duo from France on an aerial hoop high above the audience; hand balancer extraodinaire Alex Frenea; aerial silks with Ryan Renez from Denmark; glamorous contortionist Miss Cristina and the Amazing Spiderman.

Jan is also proud to present a bunch of great animated cartoon characters including Carmella the camel, George the mouse and Gloria the hippo.

The Facebook page MR FIPS has the following statement:

“Mr Fips Wonder Circus is looking for enthusiastic people to start immediately until the end of its tour 2012 with possibilities for the 2013 season. If you would like to experience circus life then please inbox for further details.”
