REFERENDUM LETTERS: Policies need radical change

If the hierarchy of the EU are disappointed at the result of our referendum, they only have themselves to blame.

They should now follow the advice of Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council, and make a radical reassessment of their policies and objectives, in particular, they should wean themselves from their fantasy of ever-closer political union.

If they can recast themselves into a simple body to speak for Europe collectively in world affairs, while acting as an arbiter in disputes between their members, I shall support them.

As it is, I voted to leave and remain unrepentant.
