Long Sutton’s Royal British Legion opened their doors for a 50th anniversary exhibition on Saturday.

The RBL branch celebrated the milestone anniversary of its building with an exhibition of a collection of photographs since the very beginning.

There were lots of photos, both old and new, showing varoius events held in the building from the years gone by.

The exhibition was open to the public from 10am-4.30pm, and a number of people came to enjoy the celebrations.

Over the years the building has seen a countless number of events – not just for men and women members of the RBL, but also parties and weddings, a youth club and various dinners.

Long Sutton is just one of the estimated 2,500 branches of the RBL in the UK and overseas. The organisation offers support to members of the Army, Navy and Air Force as well as their families and veterans, helped by the Poppy Appeal.
