Rare car targeted in raid

AN UNUSUAL car believed to be worth around £50,000 has been stolen from the owner’s driveway.

The rare Lexus IS F saloon, which had special pearlescent white paintwork, was taken from a home in Peterborough Road, Crowland, some time between 7.20am and 6.40pm on Monday

Thieves got into the house by forcing the back door with a crowbar, setting off the burglar alarm.

The car keys were taken from the house and then the car, which has the registration number XBM 44, was stolen from the driveway

Nothing else was stolen during the raid, so police believe the burglars were targeting the vehicle.
