A tot of rum or two were raised in memory of Admiral Lord Nelson at Spalding Royal Naval Association’s annual dinner to mark the anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar.

Almost 40 guests enjoyed a meal at Whaplode Manor on October 21 and were entertained by local skiffle group The Jets.

President Terry Carter said: “It was a very good night as always.”
