Holbeach United Community Sports Academy held its first ever Music and Beer Festival to support their ongoing costs last weekend.

The local community enjoyed a weekend packed full with family fun. Some 36 real ales and ciders were available, with 17 live bands providing brilliant entertainment as well as numerous other attractions.

Some of the fun on offer included a Roger Tuby funfair, an inflatable slide, hot food vendors, ice creams and a crazy golf course.

Voluntary event organiser Sean Taylor said: “All the ales were popular and by the end there was none left! ‘Houndogs’ who closed the event on Sunday drew a large crowd. There was an attendance of 3,000 people over the three days.”

The event lasted from Friday to Sunday at the new Holbeach United Community Sports Academy, to raise funds to support the running costs of the new facility.

The total amount raised has yet to be totted up.
