BOURNE Motor Racing Club starts its 2012 season with a special evening when two former BRM mechanics will recall their memories of working with the town’s famous Grand Prix team, whilst in conversation with Journalist Mike Jiggle.
Dick Salmon, author of A Mechanics Tale, and Pat Carvath – two of the team’s leading race mechanics – played an important part in Graham Hill’s championship winning year.
The meeting takes place on Thursday at the Angel Hotel’s Coach House function room starting at 8pm.
Non members are always welcome, and admission is £3 on the door.
Bourne Motor Racing Club is now in its 16th year, and already has talks planned by local sidecar racer, Gary Horsepole, Go Motorsport’s Richard Egger and renowned commentator and journalist, Graham Robson.
In addition to monthly talks from many motoring disciplines, the club also arranges visits to manufacturers, race teams and circuits throughout the season.
