A new flea market run by a local flower shop is hoped to bring an added buzz to the existing market in Spalding after being given the go-ahead by South Holland District Council.
Jane and Anna Avery, owners of ‘Flowers’n’Things’, are aiming to generate more interest in the centre of town by holding the flea market at the top end of Red Lion Street, outside the Red Lion Quarter, every Saturday.
The flea market is hoped to attract about four stalls, offering new and interesting wares and crafts, and will start on Saturday.
The vision for the new market is to have stalls with a quirky selection of treasures, vintage or pre-loved items, a few quality crafts and jewellery, which may offer a platform for new enterprise, fundraisers or existing traders.
Applications for the new stalls are available in Flowers’n’Things, where any more information or questions regarding the flea market can be answered by Jane and Anna.
