Charity pool being played by (from left) Marian Brady, Celia Wardle-Robinson, and Sally and Margaret East was one of the events at a charity day organised by a Quadring Eaudyke woman in 1989.

The day at the Axe and Handsaw pub was organised by Jackie Pitts and raised around £600 for LIVES.

Events included children’s races, a tug-of-war competition, stalls, games, a barbecue, an auction, live music and, at Gosberton, a primary school five-a-side football competition.
