PUPILS at Spalding Parish Church of England Day School will be able to work in a shady outdoor spot this summer thanks to work by some of the youngsters.
The school used extra funding to invite a willow worker into the school and he spoke to all the classes about what was planned before pupils from each class joined him outside. They then created a maze and a green room that can be used during break times and during lessons in the summer.
“We had extra funding from the Extended School Provision and one of the things we are trying to do is to develop our outdoor space so the children have a range of areas they can use,” said assistant head teacher Diane Mulley. “We have built a maze and a green room to provide shade in summer.”
