South Holland District Council contractors are correcting errors they made on signs for road closures for Friday’s Pumpkin Parade as some won’t close as early as stated.

The council has confirmed Sheep Market will shut at 8am and Market Place and Hall Place at 9am.

All three will re-open at around 9.30pm.

Some rolling road closures will then take place for the parade, which starts from Sheep Market at 6.30pm.

Parts of Station Street, Spring Gardens, St Thomas’s Road, Vine Street, London Road, The Crescent, Priory Road, Haverfield Road and High Bridge will close temporarily for the parade.

The council says this will happen from around 6pm while the parade passes through and the roads will reopen as soon as possible afterwards.

Town centre parking is available at Vine Street, Herring Lane and Victoria Street car parks.
