Cyclists in Bourne and the Deepings can put thieves in a tangle by getting their bikes security-tagged this weekend.
Police from Bourne’s neighbourhood policing team are in Market Place on Saturday from 10am until 2pm when will be fitting Immobitags to bikes.
An Immobitag is a radio frequency device that provides bikes with a unique identification number which police officers can scan for if cycles are reported lost or stolen.
Bike owners and riders are welcome to come along and use the service, as well as speak to officers about bike security and cycle theft issues.
The new Immobitags, which police have been working on alongside Elsea Park Community Trust, Bourne, can be fitted for £6 and are extremely difficult to find or remove as they are fitted into the frame of the cycle.
